95 year old Annie Lee Parsley of Smithville died Thursday at NHC. She was a retired Stanley dealer and a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Billy Hawkins, Jr. and Chuck Olson will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Lee and Josie Parker Barnes; husbands, McKinley Baker and Ammon Parsley; four brothers, Otis, Clifton, Solon and Luther Barnes; four sisters, Eller Carter, Janie Carter, Lorene Tramel, and Maudie Pack; and a daughter-in-law, Sarah Hawkins. She is survived by a son, Billy, Sr and his wife Dianne Hawkins of Smithville. Three grandchildren, Billy. Jr. and his wife Trudie Hawkins of Washington State, June Hawkins of Nashville, and Sandy and her husband Mack Harney of Smithville. Four great grandchildren, Sarah and Ben Hawkins of Washington State, John and Jessica Harney of Smithville, and dearest friend Tony Baker of Alexandria. Several nieces, nephew, and family also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made to Mount Herman Baptist Church, in lieu of flowers.
