46 year old Vickie Ann Bain Herndon died Tuesday at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage. She was born in DeKalb County. Herndon was also a garment factory worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Javin Lawson will officiate and burial will be in the Hale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Turney Bain and Emmie Lawson Bain and an infant daughter, Misty Dawn Clark. Survivors include her husband, James David Roberts of Carthage. A sister, Tammie Powell of Carthage. A brother-in-law, James Earl Roberts of Carthage. A nephew, James Lee Roberts. Aunts, Shirley and her husband James E. Hale of Liberty and Carolyn and her husband Jerry Braswell of Dibrell. Uncles, Jerry and his wife Debbie Bain and David and his wife Sandra Bain all of Smithville. Uncles and aunts, Robert and his wife Ula Presley of Dibrell, Christine and her husband Willie Murphy and Toy and his wife Faye Lawson all of Liberty, and Charlie Matheeny of Nashville. Her mother-in-law, Margaret Roberts of Carthage. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
