The 2017 Miss Princess of the DeKalb County Fair is Zayleigh Grace Washer, the 9 year old daughter of Larry and Rachel Bain of Smithville.
Seventeen girls ages 7-9 competed for the title Wednesday night at the DeKalb County Fair.
Washer succeeds the 2016 Miss Princess, Kaylyn Isabelle Prichard, the 8 year old daughter of Andy and Chrissy Prichard of Liberty.
Seven year old Brileigh Bullard of Smithville was first runner-up in the pageant. She is the daughter of Riley and Nikki Bullard.
Second runner-up was 9 year old Danica Hope Collier, daughter of Matthew and Brooke Collier of Smithville and Brittany George of Sparta. Collier was also named Most Photogenic.
Miah Faith Johnson, the 8 year old daughter of Bobby Johnson and Kelsey Pyles of Smithville was third runner-up.
Isabella Faith Rackley was fourth runner-up. She is the 9 year old daughter of Gordon and Jessica Rackley of Smithville.
The title of Miss Congeniality went to Graciella Marie Johnson, 7 year old daughter of David and Patricia Johnson of Dowelltown.

Others in the top ten were Alexzia Jaydin Sophirah Stewart, 9 year old daughter of Stephanie Stewart and Shane Stewart of Smithville; Bailey Elizabeth Kidd, 9 year old daughter of Kelli Bess and Brandon Kidd of Smithville; Bethany Dillon, 9 year old granddaughter of Candy Hale of Smithville; Karah Jo Ford, 7 year old daughter of Amanda Ford and Hector Orozco of Dowelltown; and Averie Nicole McMinn, 9 year old daughter of Nathan and Amanda McMinn of Smithville.
The remaining contestants were McKenzie Mullican, 7 year old daughter of Christy and Randall Hunt of Smithville; Tanisha Owens, 7 year old daughter of Tyrone Owens of Smithville, Haiden Lei Robinson, 7 year old daughter of Melissa and Matthew Orcutt and Chip Robinson of Smithville; Camri Layne Johnson, 9 year old daughter of Jeremy and Kelli Johnson and Julia Boulton of Alexandria; Abigail Boles, 8 year old daughter of Leslie Hale and Chad Boles of Alexandria; and Hailee Merriman, 9 year old daughter of Joyce and Jake Merriman of Smithville.
There have been two $500 cash winners so far this week. Ethan Cantrell of Smithville won $500 Tuesday night and Carey Wynne of Auburntown won $500 Wednesday night.
The DeKalb County Fair will feature the following events tonight (Thursday).

Rides on the Midway by the Family Attractions Amusement Company. Unlimited rides will be available for $18.00 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Admission to the fair is $4.00 per person. Children age four and younger will be admitted free! Gates open at 4:30 p.m. through Friday and at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The exhibit building is open from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Parking is Free!
