79 year old Thomas Watson of Smithville died Monday afternoon at his residence. He was a retired Mechanic, a member of the Banks Presbyterian Church, a Mason and member of the Eastern Star. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Nelson and Bedie Vanatta Watson; two brothers, J.W. and Steve Watson and a son-in-law, Steve Miller. Survivors include his wife, Christine Watson of Smithville. Two daughters, Jacquelyn and her husband Donald Camillo of Washington and Teresa Miller of Smithville. Three granddaughters, Tina and Amanda Miller of Smithville, and Julie and her husband Bradley Pugh of McMinnville. Two step grandchildren, Lori and her husband Troy Grant of South Carolina and Troy Camillo of Ohio. Eight great grandchildren, Alyssa and Sarah Pugh of McMinnville, Braxton Pugh of Smithville, Nicholas, A.J. and Jake Camillo of Ohio and Alex and Ava Grant of South Carolina. One sister, Elizabeth Powell Griswold of McMinnville and an aunt, Sally Hibdon of McMinnville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
