Hallie Viola Jones Bain

96 year old Hallie Viola Jones Bain of McMinnville died Saturday at her residence. She was a DeKalb County native, a homemaker, and member of the Gath Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 3:00 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. John Padgett and Terry Felton will officiate. Burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at McMinnville Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Mary E. Rankhorn Jones; her husband, Ernest E. “Angel” Bain; a son, Wayne Bain; granddaughter, Felicia Bain; and several sisters and brothers. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dortha G. and Daniel Felton of Sparta. A daughter-in-law, Irene Bain of McMinnville. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa and Don Nelson of Battlecreek, Michigan and Doris and Walter Grandy of Knoxville. A brother and sister-in-law, John Kenneth and Hattie Jones of McMinnville. Grandchildren, Keith and his wife Holly Bain of Morrison and Terry and his wife Amanda Felton of Dallastown, Pennsylvania and great grandchildren, Micah and Hannah Felton. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive as well as several of Hallie’s nurses who cared for her. McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
