86 year old Sylvia Jewel West, a native of Smithville and resident of Port Orange, Florida, died Friday at Daytona Beach Florida. She was a Christian. West also worked in accounting. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Whorton Springs Cemetery. Michael Hale will officiate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Brown and Covar Maxwell West; and brothers, Ralph and Jack West. Survivors include a son, Dr. Michael West Shreeve of Port Orange, Florida. A daughter, Debra Gustafson of Shelton, Washington. Grandsons, Michael W. Shreeve, Jr. of Lithia, Florida and Kiley Gustafson of Seattle, Washington. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
