91 year old Joanna Snow Moore of Smithville died Thursday at NHC of Smithville. She was a member of the Smithville First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, a former member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the American Legion. Moore was also a retired machine operator at the Smithville Shirt Factory. The funeral will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Dr. John Carpenter will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the service time at 4:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Edward Moore; parents, Robert Lee and Virgie Mangum Snow; a sister, Frances Poss; and three brothers, Howard, Wiley, and Robert Snow. Survivors include a daughter, Yolanda and husband Thomas Barry of Brentwood. Three sons, Phillip Moore of Smithville, Kenneth and wife Hazel Moore of Texas and Stephen and wife Melissa Moore of Hendersonville. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One brother, Edgar and wife Nora Snow of Knoxville. Three sisters, Elizabeth Edwards of Nebraska, Elinor Burns, and Mary Morgan of Atlanta. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
