Clarence Stanley Massie

88 year old Clarence Stanley Massie of Smithville died Tuesday at his residence. He was a Brickmason, and he served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW. A memorial service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. Massie was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lottie Debro Massie; a son, Michael Massie; a daughter, Rose Marie Faight; and sisters, Mary, Margaret, Darlene, Delores, Faye, and Barbara Massie. Survivors include children, Patricia Marie and husband Dennis Barilski of Indiana, Joan Ann Massie of Smithville, and James T. and wife Ramie Massie of Ohio. Grandchildren, Jordan Lasky, Chad, Derek, and Amanda Barilski, Christopher J., Bryan and Melissa Massie, Nancy, Scott, and Terry Faight, and Michelle Massie. Great grandchildren, Isabell, Jaden, and Sophia Massie. A brother, Gerald “Bill” Massie of Ohio. Many nieces, nephews, and friends survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
