87 year old Mary Thelma Redmon of Smithville died Sunday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Keltonburg Methodist Church and a shirt factory worker. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Wallace Caldwell and Mike Neale will officiate and burial will be in the Keltonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nola Byars Cantrell; her husband Clyde Redmon; and brothers, Wallace, Elmus, and Solon Cantrell. Survivors include two daughters, Trena and husband Johnny Hayes of Pegram and Rita and husband Ricky Prince of Smithville. Grandchildren, Lori and husband John Warren of Kingston Springs, Cindy and husband John Grubbs of Lebanon, Mark and wife Jan Hayes of Greenbrier, and Holly and Amy Prince of Smithville. Great grandchildren, Emy Grubbs, John Paul Grubbs, Abigail Warren, Olivia Warren, Blake Hayes, and Gracie Hayes. Several nieces and nephews also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to the Keltonburg Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
