96 year old Mary Elizabeth Grizzle of Liberty died Wednesday morning at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a Southern Baptist and member of the Eastern Star and the Liberty Senior Citizens Center. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Don Mathis will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Hugh and Alta Adamson; her husband, Clifton Grizzle; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Grizzle Graham. She is survived by a son, George and wife Wini Grizzle of Brentwood. A granddaughter, Angela and husband Paul Smilqius of Valparaiso, Indiana. Great grandchildren, Olivia and Evan Smilqius. Numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church, the Liberty Senior Citizens Center, or the Eastern Star.
