Danny Warren Smith

Danny Warren Smith, age 65, of Lebanon, TN passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born August 20, 1946 in Dekalb County, TN the son of the late Frank and Irene Scott Smith. He was also preceded in death by his Daughter; Dana Smith Barrett, Granddaughter; Kayla Roberts, and Brother; John Donald “Don” Smith. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. He went to Law School in Nashville for 3 years and later worked for TN Metal Works. He was the Human Resource Director for 5 years at Kotes. He had worked in maintenance at the Tennessean for the last 25 years. He served on the Wilson County Fair Board and the Foundation Committee of Fiddler’s Grove. He married Donna Faye Thomas on October 29, 2001.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife; Donna Faye Smith of Lebanon, TN, Three Children; Tracy (Mark) Christian of Watertown, TN, Kim Roberts (Steve Hill) of Gladeville, TN, and Kevin (Tonya) Roberts of Liberty, TN. Brother; Robert “Pete” Smith of Lebanon, TN, Sister; Janet Parrish of Madison, TN. Six Grandchildren; Cruz (Heather) Christian, Cody Christian, Hannah Christian, Zach Roberts, Noah Roberts, and Emily Roberts.
Funeral Services for Mr. Smith are scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 1 PM at Avant Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
Visitation with the Smith family will be at Avant Funeral Home on Monday from 4 PM until 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until service time at 1 PM.
