Clifton Ray Dexter

69 year old Clifton Ray Dexter of Smithville died Saturday at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation in Smith County. He was a member of the Prosperity Baptist Church, Christian Motorcycle Association, and he was a telephone line installer. He served in the U.S. Army. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Doyle Slager will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton J. Dexter; a son, Gary Ray Dexter; and daughter, Delisa Sue Dexter. Survivors include a daughter, Tina and husband James Boston of Dowelltown. Grandchildren, Ashley and Anthony Bain, Dakota and Savannah Dexter all of Smithville. Great grandchild, Natalya McCarty of Smithville. Mother, Euphema Dexter of Cookeville. Brother, James Kenny and wife Wanda Dexter of Cookeville. Sister, Janie and husband Eddie Bain of McMinnville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Donations may be made to the Lighthouse Christian Camp.
