92 year old Troy Johnny Bain of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He was a farmer, a former constable, and a Baptist. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. B.J. Thomason and Tracy Lankford will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. Bain was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bain; a son, Troy “Bodie” Bain; parents, Johnny and Bertie Atnip Bain; brothers, Bernice, Honest, Alton, and J.E. Bain; and sisters, Flossie Linder, Velmer and Bonnie Bain, and Bertha Mae Bain. Survivors include a step-son, Cecil Judkins of Smithville. Step-daughter, Ponzella and husband Dewayne Redmon of Smithville. Eleven grandchildren, Jan, Jamie, Jennie, and Jana Judkins all of McMinnville, Walter Redmon of McMinnville, Shana and Will Key, Latroya and Phil Key all of Sparta, Ashley and Robert Upchurch of Murfreesboro, Misty Gingerich of Smithville, Troy “T.J” and Dalton Bain of Smithville. Ten great grandchildren. Daughter-in-law, Jeanna Bain of Smithville. A sister, Gradie Gribble of Smithville. Special loved ones, Tamyra and Johnny Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
