97 year old Clara Taylor Fuson of Smithville died Tuesday at her residence. She was a Baptist and a retired machine operator at the shirt factory. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Terry Fesler and Mike Carpenter will officiate and burial will be in the Mount Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Nola Taylor; her husband, James Fuson; four brothers, Hobert Taylor, H.D, Taylor, Lloyd Taylor, and Carlin (Tye-Cobb) Taylor; and a sister, Ina Mae Trapp. Survivors include two sons, James and wife Barbara Fuson of Nashville and Wayne and wife Peggy Fuson of Smithville. Four grandchildren, Mike and wife Dawn Fuson, Lisa and husband David Jones of White House, Jerry Fuson of Smithville, and Jenny and husband Todd Cantrell of Smithville. Six great grandchildren, Kevin Southgate, Courtney Fuson, Justin Fuson, Lacey Jones, and Madi and Megan Cantrell; and two sisters, Reba and husband Virgil Nixon and Hatten Taylor all of Watertown. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
