65 year old Larry “Butch” Boling of Smithville died Saturday at his residence. He was a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a carpenter and owner of a store. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hodges Cemetery. Larry Steffee will officiate. Boling was preceded in death by his parents, James and Zylpha Dewitt Boling; a brother, Rod Boling; and sisters, Darlene Partain and Doris Boling. He is survived by children, John Boling of Indiana and Annette Buss of North Carolina. Grandchildren, Allix, Jake, and Derek Lasser of North Carolina. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
