78 year old Travis Martin Parsley, Jr. of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He was a member of the Bethlehem Community Church and a community man for General Motors. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Mike Satterfield will officiate and burial will be in the Young Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Parsley was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Martin Parsley, Sr. and Emma Bond Parsley; a granddaughter, Charity Stone; two brothers, Glenn Parsley and Maxie Parsley; and a sister, Chloe Cripps. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Judy Parsley of Smithville. Five children, Terry and wife Patricia Parsley of Michigan, Pamela and husband McClure Cantrell of Smithville, Ronald Parsley, Travis E. and wife Shelly Parsley of Illinois, and Regina and husband Jeff Stone of Smithville. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One brother, Charles Parsley of Smithville. Two sisters, Geraldine Lassiter of Indiana and Linda Sue Cantrell of Smithville. Special cousin, Jimmy Bryson of Smithville and Clayton Parsley of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
