96 year old Haskell Crook of Liberty died Thursday at his residence. He was a farmer and a member of the Prosperity Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber will officiate and burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Crook and Matilda Hale Crook; his wife, Bobbie Adamson Crook; brothers, Charlie, Floyd, and Paul Crook; sisters, Zula Poss, Daisy Curtis, Willie Corley, Alta Malone, Ada Willoughby, and Alene McMahan. Survivors include his wife, Estill Crook of Liberty. A daughter, Judy and husband Joe Driver of Alexandria. Grandchildren, Maria and husband Tommy Clayborn of Liberty and Jacob and wife Kari Ashford of Liberty. Great grandchildren, Thomas Clayborn of Liberty, Heather and husband Jesse Janecke of Louisiana, A.J. Laracco of Liberty, Claudia Ashford of Liberty, and Taylor Ashford of Liberty. Sisters, Lottie Cook, Bertie Barrett, and Lucille Laythe. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
