52 year old Allan Joseph Lester of Dowelltown died Thursday evening at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was disabled. Lester formerly worked as a nurseryman at Guthrie’s Nursery. Lester’s wishes were that he be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. Survivors include three children, Stephanie Lester of Dowelltown and Nick and Allan Lester both of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Makaylee Winchester of Dowelltown and Brayden Lester of Smithville. Parents, Robert and Joy Jones Lester of Madison Heights, Michigan. Two brothers, Mike and wife Kim Lester of Chesterfield, Michigan and Bob and wife Maureen Lester of Madison Heights, Michigan. A sister, Candy and husband Bob Ziat of Madison Heights, Michigan. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins all survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
