90 year old Alene Adamson Harvey of Alexandria died Saturday at UMC hospital in Lebanon. She was a longtime member of the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. Tim Diffenderfer will officiate and burial will be in the Talley Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation Tuesday will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. The family has requested that donations be made to the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church or to the Talley Cemetery in lieu of flowers. Harvey was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. Adamson and Letha Francis Martin; her husband, Joe Thomas Harvey; a son, James Thomas (Tommy) Harvey; a son-in-law, Eddie M. Crips; brothers, Clarence Adamson and Thurman Adamson; sisters, Bobbie Crook, Ada Hicks, Lucille Murphy, Georgia Adamson, and Ethel Crook. Survivors include children, Mary Katherine and husband Richard Matus of Lebanon, Margaret Doris and husband Donnie Uselton of Lebanon, Charlotte Elaine and husband Ken Chapman of Lebanon, and Brenda Gail Crips of Smithville. Daughter-in-law, Miranda Harvey of Alexandria. Grandchildren, Kendra and husband David Erie, Shelly Lynn Lanius, Randal and wife Tara Harvey, Kevin and wife Angelia Harvey, Chad and wife Kayla Harvey, Ryan Crips, and Jeff and wife Melissa Crips. Great grandchildren, Andrea Chapman, Drew Erie, Kailey Harvey, Wyatt Harvey, Grace, A.J., and Zack Crips and Jeremy Crowe. Great great grandchild, Bailey Crowe. Sisters, Betty Jean Bryan and Sarah Hicks. Sisters-in-law, Mable Christian, Montie Lee Robinson, and Willie Harvey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
