Shirley Faye Adcock Jones

Mrs. Shirley Faye Adcock Jones, age 78, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 03, 1937 in DeKalb County, TN. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. A member of New Union The Baptist Church, Mrs. Jones sang with her husband Royce at church and in local gospel groups. She was preceded in death by parents Cordie and Louvella Russell Adcock, husband Royce D. Jones, and special cousin/sister Carolyn Rankhorn.
Survivors include her children Deborah (James) Collins of Madison, AL, Anita (Loyd) Wood of Rock Island, TN, and David (Bridgett) Jones of McMinnville, TN. Aunts and Uncles Gene and Mava Russell, Anna Ruth Barnes, Tom Russell all of McMinnville, TN. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Treca Johnson of Walling, TN, Idell and Gene West, Jane and Bob Williams all of Manchester, TN, and Lane and Sue Jones of McMinnville, TN. Grandchildren Tara Rigsby, Chris Jones, Adam Collins, Patrick Collins, Nancy Rutledge, Thomas Wood, and Becky Brogden and 26 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 02, 2015, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Martin Bell, Elder Frank Randolph, and Elder Burl Rice will officiate. Interment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN. The Jones Family will receive friends Saturday from 11 A.M. until 8 P.M. and again Sunday from 9 A.M. until 3 P.M. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
