82 year old Ray Donald Malone of Dowelltown passed away on Monday at his home. He was a member of the Dowelltown Baptist Church and was a retired shirt factory worker. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Wayne Malone will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheal and Ocia Malone; a daughter Angela Allen; and a son, Ray Donald Malone, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Reba Malone of Dowelltown. A daughter, Pam and Dennis Jennings of Murfreesboro and a granddaughter, Amy and Justin Roberts of Murfreeboro. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Malone’s memory to the Dowelltown Baptist Church, ASPCA, Gideons or a charity of your choice.
