Billie Sue Parker

87 year old Billie Sue Parker of Smithville died Thursday, July 6 at NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin. She was born in DeKalb County to the late Othel Claxton and Velma Hendrixson Farler and is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth T. Parker. She was a life long member of the Snow Hill United Methodist Church. She served on the board and was treasurer of the Snow Hill Methodist Cemetery and Commissioner at the Smithville Housing Authority and an alumnus of the Liberty High School. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Doris Parker of Gallatin and extended family, cherished friends and neighbors, and her church family. The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Snow Hill United Methodist Church. Royce Martin will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Snow Hill United Methodist Church or to the Snow Hill Methodist Cemetery.
