Sheriff’s Department Finds Non-Operational Meth Lab

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department found a non-operational meth lab last week at Lake Motel on Highway 70 East on a trailer that was filled with trash.
Sheriff Patrick Ray says items found included components such as iodine crystals, ephedrine, red phosphorus, empty pseudoephedrine blister packs, empty heet bottles, and empty brake cleaner cans.
Officers also found receipts from a local business and electronic returned checks from an individual in another county.
Sheriff Ray says detectives are continuing the investigation hoping to find photos of the person on security cameras at the motel.
