64 year old Author Allen Redmon of Smithville, a Baptist Minister, died Saturday at his home. He was a DeKalb County native. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lee and Ruby Lee Hendrixson Redmon; brothers, Billy Joe Redmon, Edward Boyd Redmon, and Carlon C. Redmon; and a sister, Alice Mae Redmon Andrews. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Miller Redmon of Smithville. Three daughters, Angie and her husband Chester Williams of Smithville, Tina and her husband Ron Paschal of Alexandria, and Leslie Maples and Chad Hillis of McMinnville. Grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Ed Lemons of Smithville, Joshua and his wife Connie Odom of Smithville, and Justin Paschal and Jessica Paschal both of Alexandria. A great grandchild, Logan Johnson of Smithville. Step grandchildren, Chester Williams III and Jarvis Williams. A step great grandchild, Jarvis Williams, Jr. Three brothers, Bobby Redmon of Mississippi, Garland C. Redmon of Ohio, and Doyle and his wife Candy Redmon of Illinois. Three sisters, Frankie Faye Redmon Adkins, Shirley Ann Redmon Phillips, and Gladys Douglas Sanders all of Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
