41 year old Barry Douglas Stembridge died Monday of a short illness at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He was a resident of Adams Street, Smithville, a native of Cannon County, and an electrician assistant. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Richard Haley will officiate and burial will be in the Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Lou Bogle Stembridge. He is survived by his father, Harrell D. Stembridge of Woodbury. His wife, Bonnie Smith Stembridge of Smithville. Two children, Tabetha Pope of Woodbury and Jason Stembridge of Woodbury and Tosha. Step children include Michelle and her husband Eric McCoy and “Bud” Eddie Caldwell all of Smithville. Siblings include Terry and his wife Pam Stembridge, Sherry and her husband Andy Gay, and Perry Stembridge all of Woodbury. Grandchildren, Tyson Pope and Bryce Stembridge. Step grandchildren, Zack and Madison. Mother-in-law, Louise Smith of Smithville. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
