51 year old Betty Annette “Betty Boop” Wilson Duke died Sunday of an extended illness at River Park Hospital in McMinnville. She was a resident of Smithville and a Cannon County native. She was also a dietary aide at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury and a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Greg Mitchell will officiate and burial will be in the McMahan Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m; after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Floy D. Wilson; a son, Jason Duke; and brothers, Charles and Jeffery “Mutt” Wilson. Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Duke of Spencer. Three grandchildren, Jason, Tyler, and Juan all of Cookeville. Four sisters, Faye Bedwell, Debbie Campbell, and Crystal Robinson all of Woodbury, and Emma Conatser of Smithville. Three brothers, Bobby Wilson of Woodbury, Wayne Wilson of Nashville, and Jimmy Wilson of McMinnville. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
