Bobby Lee Gay

Bobby Lee Gay age 77, of Smithville passed away Monday morning, May 1, 2017 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cloie Gay Caldwell; son, Jeffery Gay; brother, Larry Caldwell. Bobby was a nursery worker. He is survived by his wife, Jane Gay of Smithville; Michael (Brenda) Gay of Elmwood; daughter, Kristal (Mike) Selle of Villa Rica, GA; 4 grandchildren, Michael Gay, Logan Gay, Amanda Jones and Kayla Clayton; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Freda (Gene) Lumby of South Dakota, Libby (Larry) Gibbs of Smithville, Rebecca (Steve) Ritchie; 2 brothers, David (Rita) Caldwell and Wallace (Carolyn) Caldwell both of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will Wednesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
