Bonnie S. LaFever

69 year old Bonnie S. LaFever of Ragland Bottom Road, Sparta died Tuesday at her residence. She was born in Fayette County to the late Talmadge and Ruby Garner Houston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Houston Davis and a brother, Lawrence Houston. The funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home in Sparta. Faye Tucker, Dr. Scott Hall, and Ralph Benningfield will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Calvin Urias LaFever of Sparta. One sister, Shelby Jean Houston McWherter of Somerville, Tennessee. Three brothers, Joseph Ray Houston and his wife Cyleno of Hickory Valley, Tennessee, Garner Houston and his wife Sue of Somerville, Tennessee, and Donald Houston of Somerville. One daughter, Pat Hall and her husband, Dr. Scott Hall; and five grandchildren, Sara, Madeline, Lucas, Caleb, and Zoe. Oaklawn Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the American Cancer Society.
