Mr. Carl Wayne Wright, Sr., age 67 of Rock Island, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Wayne was born Thursday, October 13, 1949 in Smithville, Tennessee to the late Carl Nelson and Mary Elizabeth ( Hathaway) Wright. He was the husband of Eliane Wright.
Wayne was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a Driver for Sullens transport in McMinnville, TN.
He was a member of Fall City Baptist Church.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years Eliane (Passons) Wright of McMinnville. TN, two sons, Carl Jr. and wife Melanie Wright of Rock Island, TN, Anthony and Megan Wright of McMinnville, TN, two sisters, Barbara and husband Charles Fish of Smithville, TN , Violet England of Hohenwald, TN, one brother, Freddy Wright of Rock Island,TN.
Five grandchildern, Dewayne Wright, Nathan Wright, Brandon Wright, Eric Wright, Weston Lockhart.
Wayne is proceded in death by his parents,Carl Nelson and Mary Elizabeth )Hathaway) Wright, two sisters, Marie Stover and Vada White, one infant brother, James Nelson Wright.
A Funeral service for Mr. Carl Wayne Wright will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Spicer officiating. Interment will follow in Gath Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 also Friday, from 8 AM to 2 PM the time of the service at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home.
