19 year old Casaundra Rena Maple of Smithville died Monday at River Park Hospital due to injuries received in an automobile accident. She was a member of the First Assembly of God and a cashier at McDonald’s. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Mount Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard Earl and Dorothy Maple, Sr.; and her step-grandfather, Wyndell Moore. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Catrina Maple and James Richard Smith of Smithville. Her father and step-mother, Randy, Sr. and Ruth Maple of Smithville. A brother, Randy Duane, Jr. and his wife Brittney Maple of Smithville. Sisters, Miranda Kaye Maple and Mary Marlene Maple of Smithville and Angela Kaye Hines Maple of McMinnville. Step-sister and brothers, Brittany Jane Smith of Smithville, Timothy Michael Kosirog of Texas, and Daniel Caleb Kosirog of Smithville. A nephew, Aaron Michael Maple of Smithville. Grandparents, William B. and Shirley Snipes of Smithville, Marilyn Moore of Florida. Step-grandparents, Dan and Katherine Randolph and Janice Hicks of Smithville. Special friend, Kyle Gregory of Hendersonville. A host of aunts, uncles, great-aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
