51 year old Deborah Inez Hawkins of McMinnville died suddenly at her home on Thursday.
She aided her pastor husband for twenty years at Antioch Baptist Church in Coalmont, and the last year at Grace Tabernacle in McMinnville.
She was preceded in death by brother, Jeffery David Hobbs.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Rev. Ricky Hawkins, daughter, Jessica Nichole Hawkins and son, Ethan Garrick Hawkins, all of Tarlton Valley, TN; parents, Carl David and Catherine Hobbs of McMinnville; sister, Shelia and her husband Steve Johnson of McMinnville, a host of loving nieces and nephews; and special great-nieces, Emilya Hobbs and Eden Grissom.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at High Funeral Home in McMinnville. William Wanamaker and Mike Rigsby will officiate. Burial will be at King Cemetery in Grundy County. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at High Funeral Home.

96 year old Haskell Crook of Liberty died Thursday at his residence. He was a farmer and a member of the Prosperity Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Thurman Seber will officiate and burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Crook and Matilda Hale Crook; his wife, Bobbie Adamson Crook; brothers, Charlie, Floyd, and Paul Crook; sisters, Zula Poss, Daisy Curtis, Willie Corley, Alta Malone, Ada Willoughby, and Alene McMahan. 44 year old Helen Elaine Petty of Smithville died Wednesday at the emergency room of DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a waitress and a shirt factory worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Ray Jenkins will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 5:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Joel B. Atnip and a son, Dylan Cleveland Petty. Survivors include her children, Tony Lee Petty, Jr. and Eric Layne Petty both of Smithville. Mother and step father, Laurel and Dennis Jenkins of Sparta. 81 year old Edith Young Evans of Smithville died Friday morning at her residence. She was a retired shirt factory worker and a member of the New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Walker’s Body Shop, Auto Equipment Sales & Rental Service in Smithville. He served two terms as Smithville Alderman and ran twice for Mayor. He was also a member of the Taylor’s Providence Baptist Church in Sparta. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.
