79 year old Sarah Frances Culwell Hullett of Centerville died Thursday at Life Care Center in Centerville. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Eddie Rogers and Kenneth Clayton will officiate and burial will be in the Bonham Cemetery. 93 year old Amon David France of Smithville died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was an air conditioner maintenance worker for ARO, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a Baptist. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. and Garry McBride will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with full military honors. 92 year old Troy Johnny Bain of Smithville died Wednesday at his residence. He was a farmer, a former constable, and a Baptist. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. Bain was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bain; a son, Troy “Bodie” Bain; parents, Johnny and Bertie Atnip Bain; brothers, Bernice, Honest, Alton, and J.E. Braylen Michael Judkins, the ten week old son of Michael Andrew and Crystal Dawn Judkins of Smithville, died Monday at the emergency room of DeKalb Community Hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Joe Cox will officiate and burial will be in the Jaco-Judkins Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. The child was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Andrew Judkins. In addition to his parents, the child is survived by a brother, Andrew Thomas Judkins of Smithville. Four sisters, Sonya McMahon, Shelby Roberts, Taylor Roberts, and Andrea Judkins all of Smithville. 30 year old Chris Gammons of Smithville died Monday at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Walter Harland Wright, Jr
77 year Walter Harland Wright, Jr. of Liberty died Friday morning at his residence. He was a member of the Actors Guild and the VFW. He served in the U.S. Army during peace time and held a Bachelors Degree in Art. Wright was also a Baptist and Art Director with Mullberry Square Productions. A memorial service will be held Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Mike Carpenter will officiate. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, Walter, Sr. and Mary Robinson Wright and a sister, Roselyn Powell. Survivors include a sister, Mary Jane Carpenter of Liberty. Seven nieces and nephew, James and Julie Biggerstaff of Liberty, Craig Carpenter of Smithville, Melody Carpenter-Jaquinta of Pompano, Florida, Karon Carpenter of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Michael and Mary Anne Carpenter of Liberty, Marinne Bailey of Dallas, Texas, Janna Blanton of Bonham, Texas, ten great nieces and nephews also survive. 86 year old James Howard Adcock died Friday at Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was a long time resident of Detroit, Michigan and a native of the Jefferson community of DeKalb County. He was retired from the maintenance department of the Department of Transportation in Detroit and was a Baptist as well as a Mason. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Dwight Knowles will officiate with burial in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 until the service at 10:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Nagy Adcock; a son, Troy Lee Adcock, and parents, Milburn Alton and Candis Pink Cantrell Adcock. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Annette and husband Gary Lohr of Toledo, Ohio; two step-sons, Douglas Barnette of Texas and Eddie Nagy of Toledo, Ohio. Four grandchildren, Laura Nagy, Denver James Logan Crane, Riley Candis, and Danyan Grace Lohr, all of Toledo, Ohio. 18 year old Zack Ferrell of Smithville died Sunday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro from injuries in an automobile accident in Rutherford County. He was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and an employee of Nissan. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. 60 year old Ralph Rowlands of Dowelltown died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a machinist with Tenneco, a veteran of the United Kingdom Royal Corps of Signa and a member of the British Legion. He was also a member of the Church of England. The family has chosen direct cremation.A memorial service will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Rowlands was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Georgina Cissie Rowlands; two brothers, Dick and John Rowlands; and a sister, Joan Salisbury. Survivors include his wife Shanna Diane Rowlands of Dowelltown. One son, Charlton Thomas Wilson of Jupiter, Florida.
