Anna Lucille Gollnitz

92 year old Anna Lucille Gollnitz, a resident of the Webb House, died Tuesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. The family has chosen direct cremation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Ada Foster and husband Albert Gollnitz. Survivors include a daughter, Anne and Bob Morse of Smithville. A son, Paul and wife LeAnne Gollnitz of Illinois. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one sister, Lynn Schaulfelberger of Illinois. Ed Judkins

83 year old Ed Judkins of Smithville died Monday at Alive Hospice Center in Nashville. He was a member of the Allens Chapel Methodist Church, and a retired construction worker. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Phillip Tollitt will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershal and Martha Judkins; two wives, Louise Bandy Judkins and Bea Robinson Judkins; and two brothers, Frank and Jess Judkins. He is survived by two daughters, JoAnn and husband David Roberts of McMinnville and Marilyn and husband John Barber of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Stevie and wife Angela Green and Rachel Goodwin all of McMinnville. Mrs. Whitefield, age 83 of Liberty passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Born April 23, 1929, in Hardin County, Kentucky, she is the daughter of the late Pharoh and Eddie Phillips. She retired from Designs by Norvell and was a member of Cooper’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Gordon Tripp and Frank Whitefield; daughter, Mary Helen Tripp Keaton; three sisters, Lola Bunch, Elsie Bray, and Ruby Phillips; a brother, Jr. Phillips, and daughter-in-law Rita Tripp of Germany. She is survived by five children, Floyd Tripp, Goldbach, Germany; Kenneth Tripp (Pat), Liberty, TN; Paul Gerald Tripp (Carol), Dowelltown, TN; George Tripp (Linda), Liberty, TN; Rose Mary Tripp, Nashville, TN. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Angela Georgette Tripp, Cassie Leigh Tripp, Heidi Trail Herman, Kenny Tripp, Mary Margaret Tripp, Chris Tripp, Jonathan Tripp, and Michael Tripp. Nine great-grandchildren also survive.

95 year old Elizabeth Mary Chalfant of Smithville died Monday at NHC Healthcare Center. She attended Temperance Hall Church of Christ, was a member of Eastern Star and a homemaker. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Phil Tollet will officiate with burial in Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Presley Chalfant; son, Don Chalfant, and daughter-in-law, Kay Chalfant. She is survived by a granddaughter, Dawn and husband Donnie Christian of Rock Island; great-grandson, Lou Christian of Rock Island; son, Jim and wife Karen Chalfant of Port Charlotte, Florida; grandson, Donny Paul and wife Carmella Chalfant of Dowelltown. 77 year old Fredericka Elizabeth Meiele Schwenke of Dowelltown died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Harold McCarty will officiate. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Helen Elizabeth Hand Meiele and her husband, William Charles Schwenke. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen and husband Michael Monroe of Dowelltown. Three grandchildren, Daniel Michael Schwenke, Sarah Elizabeth Ross and companion Jimmy McKeown, and Kaitlin Monroe. Great grandchildren, Madeleine Schwenke, Gracelynn McKeown, Hayley McKeown, and special friend, Mary McKenzie. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Howard Lee Stafford

82 year old Howard Lee Stafford of Sparta died Saturday night at Highland Medical Center in Sparta. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was also retired from Dacco, Inc. and a member of the Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Harlan Simmons will officiate and burial will be in the Scott Red Hill Cemetery in Jackson County with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Myrtle Lou Scott Stafford; a son, Richard Stafford; a step-brother, J.B. Pigg; a sister-in-law, Lana Scott; a brother-in-law, Frank Hutchins; and a nephew, David Scott. He is survived by his wife, Janice Hutchings Stafford of Sparta. Five daughters, Angie and husband Cliff Harber of Knoxville, Trya Rodgers of Sparta, Kim Corson of Ohio, Debra and husband Sonny Grenko of Ohio, and Pamela Brown of Ohio. 86 year old Flora Bell Rankhorn of Smithville died Thursday at River Park Hospital in McMinnville of an extended illness. She was born in Warren County, a member of the Church of Christ, and a retired factory worker with Spartan Shirt Factory. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of High Funeral Home in McMinnville. Jack Jones and Mark Parkhurst will officiate and burial will be in the Webb Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Sallie Etta Cope; her husband, James Edward Rankhorn; one son, Shadie Ray Rankhorn; a brother, Johnny Rayburn Cope; and three sisters, Dona Mae Turner, Martha Rankhorn, Mary Cope; and two grandsons, Shane and Christopher Rankhorn. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Regenia and Richard Myers of McMinnville. 74 year old Nell Cantrell of Smithville died Wednesday at NHC of Smithville. She was a retired dispatcher for the Smithville Police Department where she served for 27 years. She was also a Baptist. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. and Jack Patterson will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Olen Estes Patterson. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jack R. Cantrell of Smithville. Two daughters, Deanna and husband Darryl Counts of Smithville and Tonya Joins of Gallatin. Clayton Melvin Neal age 82 of McMinnville, TN, (Newtown Community) died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN. He was born February 15, 1930, in Warren County, TN, was a retired brick mason, a member of Northside Baptist Church, and attended Forest Park Baptist Church. Mr. Neal was preceded in death by parents Ray and Mary Winnie Raymond Neal, granddaughter Adiren Neal, great-granddaughter Baby Carter, a sister Alene Spivac, and brothers John Robert Neal, Ray Neal, Jr., and Billy Neal.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Gail Holt Neal, children Donna Watson, Shirley and Mike Cooper, Jimmy and Gale Neal, and Bruce Neal, brother Morris and Shirley Neal all of McMinnville, TN, and sister Mary and John Young, Smithville, TN. Grandchildren Tyler Klasek, Stacey Redmon, Shane Redmon, Beth Cox, Cory Knowles, Kim Carter, Tish Watson, Kayla Neal, Sina Neal, and Kendra Cuellar, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 step great-grandchildren.

51 year old Kimberly Marie Wince of Smithville died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a cook, homemaker, and she attended the Baptist Tabernacle. A memorial service will be Thursday June 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the Baptist Tabernacle. Gary McBride will officiate. No visitation will be held prior to the service, however the memorial service is open to friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Gail Harrington Brinkley. Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Gary Wince of Smithville. Two sons, Chris Dodson of Cookeville and Chris N. & wife Nickie Wince of Nashville. One daughter, Larissa G. Dodson of Shelbyville. Three grandchildren, Braxton Waldon of Shelbyville, Logan Johnson of Smithville, and Veralena G. Wince of Nashville. One sister, Sherry McEntee of Cleveland, Ohio.
