89 year old Elaine D. Wisch of Smithville died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired nurse at St. Therese Hospital, a member of the Smithville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Study Club. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Larry Green will officiate and burial will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 1:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cly D. Draper and Effie May Richardson Draper and her husband, Robert Wisch. Survivors include two daughters, Carol and husband Wayford Washburn of McKenzie, Tennessee, and Sharon and husband Glenn Cross of Smithville. Eight grandchildren, Sharri Arnold of Trenton, Tennessee, David Smith of Dresden, Rhonda Amann of Illinois, Michael Jasinski of Illinois, Robin Chirchirillo of Illinois, Robert Jasinski of Illinois, Wayford Washburn of McKenzie, and Carla Lauerence of Trezevant, Tennessee. Four great grandchildren, Kristi Amann, Eric Jasinski, Kati Amann, and Kassidy Amann. One sister, Louise Colln of Franklin. Ola Ann Reynolds

47 year old Ola Ann Reynolds of Smithville died Monday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be Friday August 28th at 6:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Mike Carpenter and Sue Puckett Jernigan will officiate. Visitation will be Friday August 28th from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hobert Robinson and a brother, Michael Wayne Robinson. Survivors include a son, Jacob Reynolds of California. Her mother, Jean Robinson Bailey of Smithville. A sister, Tommye Bell of Nashville. A nephew, Joshua Bell of Smithville. 75 year old Ernest E. McBride of Smithville died Tuesday at his residence. He was retired from Tool and Die and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bransford England, Anthony Pelham, and Garry McBride will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Duncan and Naola Mae Hash McBride and a daughter, Eugenia Ann McBride. Alan Esteban Palomo Silva, infant son of Maria Carrillo of Smithville and Esteban Palomo died Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. The funeral will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. 86 year old Elizabeth Jane Walker of Smithville died Sunday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Shannon Cantrell will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and until the service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Walker; a daughter, Melissa Walker; and parents, William Francis and Lillian Mable Green Arnott. Survivors include two sons, Raymond and wife Shirley Joslyn of Smithville and Larry and wife Sharon Joslyn of New Mexico. Four grandchildren, Ann Joslyn, Alice and Paul Hutchens, Audra Stanley, and Missey Riley. Jacob Lee Caldwell

30 year old Jacob Lee Caldwell of Rock Island died Saturday at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was employed by Walker Manufacturing/Tenneco. A graveside service will be Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Banks Cemetery. Bill Robertson will officiate. There will be no visitation. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Austin Scurlock and his paternal grandparents, Wade and Pearline Johnson Caldwell. Survivors include a son, Andrew Caldwell of Smithville. Parents, Terry and Donna Scurlock Caldwell of Rock Island. One brother, Daniel Caldwell of Smithville. His maternal grandmother, Ruth Scurlock of Smithville. 83 year old Jessie Mae Davis of Hixson and formerly of Smithville died Friday at the Life Care Center of Red Bank, Chattanooga. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A graveside service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Michael Hurst will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and at the graveside service Monday at 10:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Era Self Hendrixson; husband, Joe W. Davis; brothers and their wives, Hobert and Lucille, Louis and Lucille, and J.D. and Lucille Hendrixson; a nephew, James Allen Hendrixson. 53 year old Sam Morgan Love of Smithville died Saturday at NHC. He was disabled. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. 92 year old Willie Atwood Cantrell of Smithville died Tuesday at Mount Juliet Health Care Center. He was a member of the New Union The Baptist Church and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Old Hickory. Cantrell was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran on the Destroyer USS Mahan, a member of the McWhirtersville Lodge #375 in Hermitage, and he was retired from Dupont in Old Hickory.
