74 year old L.W. Hale of Alexandria died Sunday at University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was a DeKalb County native, a factory worker, and a member of the Watertown Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Jimmy Atnip will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Murphy Hale; his parents, Selmer D. and Bettie Ferrell Hale; a sister, Daisy Murphy; and brothers, Selmer Ray, Harrison Lee, and Selmer D. Hale, Jr. Survivors include sisters, Bea and her husband Kenneth Christian of Watertown, Lucille Ferrell of Alexandria, and Dellia Mae and husband Richard Poston of Smithville. Fern Bryant Webb

86 year old Fern Bryant Webb died Thursday morning at NHC Healthcare Center in Chattanooga. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Smithville Church of God, where she was a member. Donnie Kelly and Michael Farr will offciate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Webb; a son. Joel M. Webb; her parents, Silas and Mattie Moore LeFevre; sisters, Lois Webb, Dora Kay Vanderpool, Peggy Kutz, and Maude Parsley; and brothers, Westley, Bud, Urias, Alphus, and Rallegh LeFevre. She is survived by children, Douglas M. and wife Lavern Webb of Nashville, Dinah G. and husband Larry Lamunyon of Chattanooga, Marsha K. and husband Dwight Anderson of Nashville, Mickey E. and wife Pam Webb of LaFollette, and Jan E. and husband Bob Beard of Coral Springs, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Darrel Cross, Shannon and Tori Dodson, Stephanie Cooper, Sonja Franks, Mylon Webb, Ryan Saturday, and Webb Beard. Sixteen great grandchildren. Ronald Lynn Chandler

69 year old Ronald Lynn Chandler of Smithville died Monday evening at his residence. He was a Baptist, a Telephone Contractor, U.S. Navy Veteran , and a member of the N.R.A., American Legion, and the VFW. A graveside service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Geraldine, Alabama. Jimmy Wilburn will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Chandler and parents, A.D. and Mildred Whitfield Chandler. Survivors include his children, Wesley Chandler of Smithville; Randy Chandler of Albertville, Alabama; Rhonda Chandler Blake of Carrollton, Georgia; Traci Chandler Ferrell of Smithville; Darla Chandler of Lavonia, Michigan; Terry Butler of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and Connie Haggard of Smithville. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A sister, Carolyn Reynolds of Section, Alabama; and his ex-wife and friend Regina Chandler. Cleo Virgie Henley Long

The funeral for 95 year old Cleo Virgie Henley Long of Estill Springs will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. She is survived by a daughter, Eva Lou Lawrence of Estill Springs. A sister, Rachel Croft of Hillsboro. 77 year old Delia Frances Bane of Watertown died Thursday at Cedars Health Care Center in Lebanon. She was a DeKalb County native, a homemaker, and a member of the Lower Helton The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Mark Miller and Mike Potts will officiate and burial will be in the Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Daisy Sandlin; her ex-husband, Goble Bane; an infant sister and other sisters, Gertie Irene Tubb, and Minnie Belle Driver. 85 year old Betty Mai Nokes Bogle of Dowelltown died Thursday at her residence. She was a factory worker and a member of the Immanuel Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Leonard Herman will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Bogle; three grandchildren; parents, Pet and Hallie O’Conner Nokes; and brothers, Walter, Johnny, Sam, Bob, and Bill Nokes. Seven month old Carson Neil Hensley of Rock Island died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a Baptist. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by a brother, Keilin Hensley and his grandfather, John Rankhorn. 55 year old Mary Jane Bretz of Smithville died Tuesday at NHC of Smithville. She was a nurse and a member of the Church of Christ.
