The funeral for 69 year old Robert Eudele Ramsey will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He is survived by his wife, Susie James Ramsey. Two sons, John C. 93 year old Joe Homer Brown of Rock Island died Friday at the Rain Tree Manor of Warren County. He was a farmer and a member of the New Bybee’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Tim Lewis will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Vell LeFever Brown and wife Sally Hendrixson Brown. 83 year old Alice Marie Colvert of Smithville died Thursday at NHC Healthcare Center. She was an ASCS office secretary and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also played piano for the Community Chorus. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Town Cemetery. 91 year old Willie Beatrice Smith of Alexandria and formerly of Statesville died Friday at University Medical Center in Lebanon. A retired garment factory worker, she was born in Statesville and was a member of the Statesville United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Burial will be in the Jennings Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; a son-in-law, Clyde Vanatta; sisters, Irene Armstrong, Lucille Taylor, and Arbella Vantrease. Her parents were the late Oza Hardin and Minnie Tennessee Ricketts Hardin. Survivors include two daughters, Nelda Bettes and Barbara Vanatta both of Alexandria. 94 year old Hester Walker Warren of McMinnville died Wednesday of a short illness at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a housewife. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Charles Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Blues Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Isaac Walker and Willie Reed Passons Walker; her husband, Jake Lane Warren; her son, Ernest Lee Warren; and her grandson, Steven Warren Stanley. She is survived by three sons, J.L., Norman, and Harold Warren all of Cannon County. Three daughters, Sepal and husband Rex Pedigo of McMinnville, Lucy and husband Steve Stanley of Smithville, and Carol and husband Aubrey Gunter of Short Mountain. 18 year old Jake Montana Hoover of Liberty died Sunday in an automobile accident at Liberty. He was born in DeKalb County, a student, and a member of Salem Baptist Church. 71 year old Paul Thomason of Dowelltown died Tuesday at his residence. He was a retired painter and a Baptist. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. 71 year old Don Cantrell of Smithville died Tuesday night at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was a member of Blue Springs Lodge #373, and the Whorton Springs Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Smithville Fire Department and a police officer for 35 years. Cantrell was also a truck driver with Smithville Freight Lines and ETA. A Masonic service will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and the funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. James Williams, David Mahan and Michael Hale will officiate. Burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Cantrell was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Sudie Cripps Cantrell. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sally Cantrell of Smithville. 77 year old Gloria White Milligan of McMinnville died Monday at Stones River Hospital in Woodbury. She was born in DeKalb County. She was a retired employee of Mary’s Green House, a former member of the Morrison Ruritan Club, and a member of Morrison First Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jerry Brewer and Tommy Dye will officiate and burial will be in the Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home. Mrs. Milligan was preceded in death by her parents James N. and Nancy Audrey Robinson Tittsworth, husband John C. Milligan, Sr., and sister Sandra Lorene Young. 91 year old Bernard Richard Sramcik of Dowelltown died Sunday at UMC in Lebanon. He was a World War II veteran and a retired supervisor with Uniroyal Tire Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sramcik and parents, Vendle and Christina Sramick. Survivors include three daughters, Donna Parish and Brenda Plodzik of Michigan and Deborah Sramcik of Dowelltown. Two sons, Richard Breeding of Michigan and Roy Breeding of Dowelltown. Twelve grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. One brother, Paul Sramcik of Ohio. Two sisters, Wilma Cleveland and Phillis Ptak of California.
