90 year old Lola Delphine France of McMinnville died Wednesday at Vanderbilt Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Town The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Gary McBride will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tilman and Della Cope West; brothers, Shelton, Titus, and Albert West; half brothers, Charlie, Rex, and Toy West and Andy Roberts; and a sister, Gracie Arnold. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Amon France of McMinnville. A brother Clarence and Aliene West of McMinnville. A brother-in-law, Erby France of Smithville. 31 year old Dana Carol Malone of Smithville died Tuesday at her residence. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and an office administrator at the Family Care Chiropractic. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. B.J. Thomason and Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by a sister, LeeAnn Mangrum. Survivors include her husband, Kevin Malone of Smithville. Three children, Brittany, Katherine, and Aidan Malone of Smithville. 39 year old Joe Ronald Frazier II of Hermitage died Sunday at his residence. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Nashville. 78 year old Henry Eston Knowles of Smithvile died Saturday night at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was owner of Eston Knowles Realty and a member of the Indian Mound The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Johnny Adcock and Glynn Love will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilse and Charlie Summers Knowles and an infant sister. 84 year old Horace Cantrell, Jr. of Smithville died Sunday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Mount Hope The Baptist Church. Cantrell was an ordained minister and he served as pastor of the Old Cumberland, Mount Pleasant, Long Mountain, and Spring Street The Baptist Churches. He was also retired from Powermatic. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. James Wright and Barry Whiteaker will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace, Sr. and Edna Young Cantrell; a son, Rickey Cantrell; brothers, Leslie, Doris, James, Gentry, Fate, Arlie, and Charles Cantrell; and sisters, Effie Head and Jeffie Humphrey. 82 year old Claude Jewell Anderson of Oak Grove Road, Sparta died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a White County native and worked at General Motors in Michigan. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta. James McGill and Tommy Lee Davis will officiate and burial will be in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson and Dora Hudson Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Norene Anderson of Sparta. A daughter, Faye Taormins of Sparta. A step-son, Dennis Reeder of Smithville. Three sisters, Berta LaPointe of Michigan, Marie Panos of Sparta, and Billie Larsen of Sparta. Four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren survive. She was a member of the Rock Island Church of Christ and the secretary for the Rutherford and Warren County Farm Bureau for 19 years. Jimmie Doris Vickers
80 year old Mr. Jimmie Doris Vickers of Smithville died Friday night at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Mark Bass will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. He was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He served for a total of 33 years. Vickers also served for many years in the National Guard. He was a Past President of the Jaycees and a former Smithville Fire Chief, member of the V.F.W., and American Legion, and he was a Shriner, Mason, and member of Liberty Lodge. Mr. Vickers was also the owner of Sligo Boat Dock for six years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Solon and Inez Parker Vickers. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Vickers of Smithville. A son, Jimmie D. Vickers, Jr. of Smithville. Grandchildren, Tish Groshan of Georgia and John Cory Vickers of Murfreesboro. Great grandchildren, Dillan Burns and Hannah Groshan. Two half-sisters, Delois Howl and Dorothy Forkum both of Orlando, Florida and a special friend, Sandra Riffey.
