Jasmin Silva Ortega of Smithville, a newborn, died Friday at River Park Hospital in McMinnville. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Hector Hugo Ortega Sanchez will officiate and burial will be in the Young Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Survivors include her parents, Fernando and Julissa Silva Ortega of Smithville. 94 year old Mrs. Ethel Martin Vanatta of Woodbury and a long time resident of Alexandria and widow of Dolphin Vanatta, died Friday at the Woodbury Nursing Center. The body is at Woodbury Funeral Home where the funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Thurman Seber and Dr. Richard Bray will officiate and burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery. The Vanatta family will receive friends at the Woodbury Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until the service at 2:00 p.m. She is survived by three nieces, Martha K. Taylor of Woodbury, Betty S. and her husband Ronald West of Woodbury, and Nancy A. and her husband Ray Trail of Bradyville. A step-daughter, Etta Frances Bayne. A step-grandson, Vann Bayne. 54 year old Judy Lynn Hensley of Smithville died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Church of God. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Smithville Church of God. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. There will be visitation at the Smithville Church of God on Tuesday from noon until 5:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Horton, Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Joelle and her husband Brandon Starnes and Jamie and her husband Toby Nokes and two sons, Darrell and Brandon Gurley all of Smithville. Eleven grandchildren. Her mother, Juanita Horton of North Carolina. Three sisters, Joy Brouckaert and Juanita Brown both of North Carolina, and Jill Cornwell of Idaho. Three brothers, J.D. Horton, Jr. of Smithville, Jack and Jeff Horton of Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 52 year old Charles Fredrick “Freddy” Martin of McMinnville died Friday at River Park Hospital. He was a factory worker and a Baptist. The funeral will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Robert Burns will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Martin and his wife, Margaret Peoples Martin. Survivors include two daughters, Kristy and her husband Jason Jones of Morrison and April and her husband Michael Farley of McMinnville. 46 year old James Ernest Gaddes of Watertown died Tuesday at his residence. He was born in Davidson County, a construction worker, and a member of the Jesus Loves You Tabernacle. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Family and friends will officiate and burial will be in the Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Gaddes and grandparents, Ernest and Myrtle Owen and Walther and Emma Gaddes. He is survived by his wife Melba Parsley Gaddes of Watertown. Two daughters, Kayla and Holly Gaddes of Watertown. His mother and step-father, Louise and Turney Shehane of Watertown. Sisters, Debbie and her husband Charles Martin of Watertown, Bobbie and her husband J.B. Hale of Alexandria, and Brenda and her husband, Paul Dorris of Watertown. 56 year old Gail Vilemont Milligan of Smithville and formerly of Mississippi died Tuesday at her residence. She was a Catholic, a retired restaurant owner, and a member of the Am Vets POST #101 and Smithville Ladies Auxiliary. The funeral will be Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville. Burial will be in the Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Rona Vilemont. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth G. Milligan; a daughter, Bridget Gilmore and her husband Brian McIntosh of Waveland, Mississippi; a son, Charles Randy, Jr. and his wife Jennifer Gilmore of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Gilmore, Joseph Brook Gilmore, Katelynn Gilmore, and Gabrielle Gilmore. Step-daughters, Karen Milligan of Columbus, Ohio, and Robyn and her husband Ken Gilman of Southhaven, Mississippi. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Donnie Kelly and Virgil Hibdon, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ernest, Sr. and Louise Raymond Winchester; a brother, Ricky Winchester; two sisters, Mary Sue Chapman and Helen Jeanette Winchester. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Earl Harrison and Janet Ann Neff Harrison; and a sister, Carol Sneed. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Harrison. Three daughters, Lola and her husband Scott Rice, Leslie and her husband Timothy Hale and Jessica Harrison all of Smithville. 69 year old Helen Victoria Prichard of Smithville died Tuesday at her residence. She was a housewife and affiliated with the Protestant Church. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Shane Smith and Trent Colwell will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Mary Kinder Albu; a daughter, Pamela Kay Prichard; a son, Norman Vincent Prichard; and a great grandchild, Austin Rose. Survivors include her husband, Walter Prichard of Smithville. Children, Connie and her husband Chris Jolley of Smithville, Judy Rose of Lebanon, Charles Prichard of Florida, and Grady Prichard of Smithville.
