48 year old Symantha Winters O’Neal of Nashville died Wednesday at Lebanon. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Don Northcutt will oficiate and burial will be in the Adcock Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eva Lou Quick Winters; her husband Thomas O’Neal and her mother, Eva Lou Daubenspeck. Survivors include a son, Desmond O’Neal and a daughter, Miranda O’Neal both of White Bluff. Two brothers, Lem Daubenspeck of Pennsylvania and Lloyd Daubenspeck of Murfreesboro. Timothy Lynn Green

48 year old Timothy Lynn Green of Dowelltown died Wednesday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a Baptist and self-employed. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. and Larry Campbell will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Green; a nephew, Shawn Northcutt; and a niece, Kristy Culwell. Survivors include his mother, Mildred Green of Dowelltown. Companion, Pam Davenport of Smithville. Lelon Thweatt

92 year old Lelon Thweatt of Smithville died Tuesday at his residence in the Jefferson Community. He was retired from the State and he served two terms as DeKalb County Road Supervisor from 1974 until 1982. Thweatt was also a Baptist and a Mason. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Terry Fesler and Garry McBride will officiate and burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Thweatt was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Doll Adcock Thweatt; his first wife, Betty Ann Cantrell Thweatt; a daughter, Diania Cantrell; a granddaughter, Wanda Powers; and three brothers, J.T., Cecil, and Buford Thweatt. Survivors include his wife, Keeble Maynard Thweatt and two daughters, Martha and her husband Darrell Rowland and Linda Sykes all of Smithville. One son, Harold Thweatt of McMinnville. 76 year old Cleston “Peel” Knowles of Smithville died Sunday at NHC of Smithville. He was a self employed carpenter and a member of the Brethen-in-Christ. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Emmie Taylor Knowles and a brother, Haston Knowles. Three sons, Jeffrey Lynn Knowles of Nashville, and Chad Everette and Ronald Jason Knowles both of Smithville. 87 year old Johnnie Louise Jones of Dowelltown died Monday at Baptist Hospital. She was a retired supervisor at Valdor Manufacturing and a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church. 64 year old Glenda Hallum Cantrell of McMinnville died Friday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born in DeKalb County and was a retired employee of A.O. Smith and affiliated with the Church of Christ. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Webb Cemetery. The Cantrell family will receive friends on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at McMinnville Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mollie Glenn Hallum; a sister, Tina Elaine Hallum; and a brother, Charles Leonard Hallum, Jr. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Stan Holland; a son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Kristi Cantrell all of McMinnville;; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Phyllis Hallum of Smithville; sister-in-law, Ann Hallum; grandsons, Jason and Kevin Holland and Adam and Logan Cantrell. Robert Franklin Foutch

76 year old Robert Franklin Foutch of Crossville died Saturday. He was born in DeKalb County, the son of Clyde and Ruby Lee Lawrence Foutch. He retired after 30 years of service with the Tennessee Highway Patrol as a Lieutenant. He also served several years as Chief of Police and Judicial Commissioner. He was a member of many organizations such as the Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police and Retired Police Chiefs Association. Foutch was also a U.S. Army veteran having served during Korea and a member of Haley’s Grove Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Vern Daugherty will officiate and burial will be in the Crossville City Cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by hus brothers, Jackie and Larry Foutch. 61 year old Gary Lynn Redmon of Smithville died Friday May 25,2007 at DeKalb Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday May 28,2007 at 10:00am at Keltonburg United Methodist Church with Bro. Mark Pafford officiating. Burial will be at Keltonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Monday from 9:00am until time of service at the church.
Mr. Redmon was a Methodist, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the V.F.W. and AmVets. He was a maintenance worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Hazel Eugenia Ours Redmon. He is survived by 2 children, Jason Redmon of Georgia and Jennifer Silcox of Sparta. One grandchild, Destiny Redmon of Lebanon. One sister, Pam Hendrixson of Smithville.

79 year old James Hoyte Close of Lebanon died Saturday at his residence. He was retired from Nashville Auto Auction. He was also a Methodist and a Chartered member for 49 years of the Masons.He was also an Army Veteran. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.
