76 year old Rosie Emma Luna of Sparta died Tuesday at her residence. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylor Providence Church where she was a member. Harold Robinson and Alton Caldwell will officiate and burial will be in the Taylor Providence Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caney and Candice Stewart Luna; her husband, Wilburn Lee Luna; three brothers, Boston, Benjamin, and Allen Luna; and two sisters, Nell Corbitt and Rachel Luna. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia and her husband Claude Griffin; two sons, Wilburn and his wife Linda Luna and James Leon Luna all of Sparta. Eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Two brothers, Beecher Luna of McMinnville and Billy Luna of Nashville. 65 year old Aubrey Love Young of Smithville died Sunday at his residence. He was retired from Carrier and was a Pentecostal. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bratton Tucker and Danny Schofield will officiate and burial will be in the Youngbend Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Forrest and Eula Estill Knowles Young and a brother, Barney Lee Young. Survivors include his wife Donna Rankhorn Young of Smithville. 71 year old Drue Cilla Dodd of Woodbury died Thursday at NHC Health Care Center in Smithville. She was a Cannon County native, a homemaker, and a member of the People’s Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelah Ferrell and Carrie Mae Ratleph Ferrell; her husband, Calvin Ray Dodd; a daughter, Diana Dodd; and a brother, Ray Donald Ferrell. 97 year old Jessie Baliff Fuson of Smithville died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shop Springs Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Ken Tramel will officiate and burial will be in the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Baliff and Toy J. Fuson; two brothers, Walter and Bob Vandergriff; and two sisters, Vera Hall and Amber Vandergriff. Survivors include two daughters, Paulette Carter of Lawrenceburg and Peggy and her husband Ken Tramel of Lebanon. 20 year old Juan Carlos Garcia of Smithville died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his father, Fidel Garcia Romo. He is survived by his mother, Antonia Garcia of Mexico and a brother, Fabian Garcia of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The body will be sent back to Mexico for burial.

Louise Cripps Lamberson

87 year old Louise Cripps Lamberson of Temperance Hall died Monday at her residence. The body is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home where the funeral wil be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Billy Hale and Serita Martin will officiate and burial will be in the Gordonsville Cemetery. The Lamberson family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Linda Lamberson of Temperance Hall. Jessie Lee Junior Pollard

63 year old Jessie Lee Junior Pollard of Smithville died Monday of a sudden illness at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a Baptist and he served in the National Guard for seven years during the Vietnam War. Pollard was also retired from the Carrier Corporation having worked for 36 years. He was also a mechanic. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale and Garry Farris will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Pollard was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee and Zonnie Luna Pollard; his mother-in-law, Nettie Pack; a sister, Dora Fay Pollard; a brother, Eligah Pollard; and his step-mother, Lissie Pollard. Survivors include his wife of 42- 1/2 years, Faye Pollard of Smithville. Two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Janice Pollard and Jerry and Armenta Pollard all of Smithville. He was owner and operator of the Sears Store in Scottsville, Kentucky, a member of the Bright Hill United Methodist Church in Smithville, and a member of the Graham Lodge # 208 F & AM. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Goad Funeral Home in Scottsville, Kentucky. Elvis Farley will officiate and burial will be in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.
