76 year old Rosie Emma Luna of Sparta died Tuesday at her residence. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylor Providence Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caney and Candice Stewart Luna; her husband, Wilburn Lee Luna; three brothers, Boston, Benjamin, and Allen Luna; and two sisters, Nell Corbitt and Rachel Luna. 65 year old Aubrey Love Young of Smithville died Sunday at his residence. He was retired from Carrier and was a Pentecostal. 71 year old Drue Cilla Dodd of Woodbury died Thursday at NHC Health Care Center in Smithville. She was a Cannon County native, a homemaker, and a member of the People’s Missionary Baptist Church. 20 year old Juan Carlos Garcia of Smithville died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his father, Fidel Garcia Romo. 63 year old Jessie Lee Junior Pollard of Smithville died Monday of a sudden illness at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a Baptist and he served in the National Guard for seven years during the Vietnam War. Pollard was also retired from the Carrier Corporation having worked for 36 years. He was also a mechanic.
