Mr. Roy O. Crymes age 84 of Smithville passed away Saturday morning at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. Mr. Crymes was born March 12, 1931 to his parents the late Theodore and Zelma Scott Crymes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Crymes; 1 sister, Mabeline Rourke; 2 brothers, Melvin and James Crymes. He was a Pentecostal, retired from the U.S. Air Force with of 20 years of service to our country and then also retired from Southeastern Telecom in Nashville. Survivors include 3 children, Kathy Matthews of Goodlettsville, Billy Crymes of Smithville and Penny Arnold of Dickson; 3 grandchildren, Leslie Kopischke, Haven Boyles and Peyton Arnold; 1 brother, William Crymes of South Carolina and 1 sister, Katherine Miles of Madison. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rodger Thaxton officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation with the family will be on Monday 12 Noon until 8:PM and Tuesday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2:30. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Brown Certain

Mary Brown Certain age 78 of Liberty passed away Saturday morning, October 31, 2015 at NHC HealthCare Center of Smithville. She was born November 17, 1936 to her parents, the late Troy Brown and Minnie Mai Vanatta Herman. Mary Brown was retired from Kingston Timers and was a faithful member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and was a member of the Alexandria Senior Citizens. She is survived by 1 son, Terry (Jerretta) Certain of Murfreesboro; 3 grandchildren, Josh (Andrea) Certain, Joel Certain, Grace Certain; 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua Certain, Jr., Trinity Certain; 1 brother, Eddie (Linda) Herman of Sparta. Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Monday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Wilson Williams and Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday 12 Noon until 8:PM and Monday 9:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Tacy Lynn Hendrixson age 31 of Smithville passed away Wednesday from injuries received in an automobile accident. Tacy was a homemaker and attended the Bethel United Methodist Church. Tacy is survived by her husband, Nelson Hendrixson of Smithville; 5 children, Caitlyn Clouse, Megan Hendrixson, Krissy Hendrixson, Emily Hendrixson and Tyler Woody; mother, Sherry Rankhorn of McMinnville; father, Rex (Renee) Clouse of Sparta; God-mother, Lori Driver of Smithville; sister, Kira Clouse of McMinnville; maternal grandmother, Jan Grissom of McMinnville; several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. V L Baker and Everett Wilson officiating and burial to follow in the Clouse Family Cemetery in White County. Visitation with the family will be on Friday 9:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM. Aileen Clark

Aileen Clark age 89 of Smithville passed away Wednesday morning, October 28, 2015 at Upper Cumberland Hospice House in Cookeville. She was born April 26, 1926 to her parents, the late Benjamin and Nora McNew Tate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindell Clark and 9 brothers and sisters. Ms. Clark was a bookkeeper, having worked for Middle Tennessee Natural Gas for 16 years, she was a faithful member of the Smithville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 children, Dr. Dennis (Cathy) Clark of Gutherie, OK; Linda (Ronnie) Hawkins of Smithville; 4 grandchildren, Carmen (Don) Bond, Darin (Holly) Clark, Charma (Phillip) Cripps, Chris (Breanna) Hawkins; 6 great-grandchildren, Ellie and Hattie Bond, Harper and Hayes Clark, Clay and Clint Hawkins; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:AM Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Smithville First United Methodist Church with Bro. John Carpenter and Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Graveside services and interment will be 2:PM Tuesday November 3, 2015 at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Newton, IL with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Visitation with the Clark family will be on Sunday 2:PM until 5:PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Monday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM at the Smithville First United Methodist Church. 25 year old Torrey William Hale of Alexandria died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was a miner/blaster. Billy Cobble

69 year old Billy Cobble of Smithville died Sunday at his residence. He was a Baptist and a farmer. The family has chosen direct cremation. No visitation or services are planned at this time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ruby Walker Cobble; three brothers, Tommy McCowan, James and Larry Cobble; and a sister, Kim McCowan. He is survived by a daughter, Nicole and Carlos Godsey of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Taylor and Harley Godsey all of Smithville, Morgan and Jerry Smith, and Kenneth Godsey all of Cookeville. One sister, Mary Smith of Smithville.
