68 year old Danny Williams of Hartsville died Wednesday, August 5 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was an RN at the VA Hospital in Nashville and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was of the Methodist faith. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Randall Teat and Ralph Vaughn will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Doyal Chester Williams and Gladys Smith Williams Curtis and his step-father, Warren B. Curtis. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Willa Dean Givens Williams of Hartsville. Three children, Ivie Williams Pulliam of Mississippi, Ashley and husband John Hearn of Louisiana, and Andy and wife Colby Williams of Mississippi. One step-son, Jason and wife Leanne Cook of Bethpage. Seven grandchildren and one step-grandchild. A sister, June and husband Ralph Vaughn of Murfreesboro. A brother, Lenny and wife Jean Williams of Greenbrier and several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Rebecca Elizabeth Hale age 93 of Smithville, TN, died Tuesday, August 04, 2015, at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital in Smithville, TN. She was born October 05, 1921, in Cannon County, TN, was a retired employee of Genesco and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by parents Harvey and Novella Melton Gunter, husband Dixie Denby Hale, son Jerry D. Hale, grandsons Michael Joe Hildreth and Steven Bradley Hildreth, sisters Bessie Parker and Florene Daniel, and a brother Smoot Gunter.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Hale Hildreth Landahl, granddaughters Tammy Burton and Leslie (Rex) Crabtree, great-grandchildren Travis and Justin Davenport, Kristy Stubblefield, Matthew, Tarryan, and Kaylan Hildreth, and Sophie and Addison Crabtree, and great-great grandchildren Olivia and Emily Davenport and Madeline Stubblefield.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 06, 2015, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Dave Dawson will officiate. Interment will be private in Mt. View Cemetery. She was preceded in death by parents Cordie and Louvella Russell Adcock, husband Royce D. Jones, and special cousin/sister Carolyn Rankhorn.
Survivors include her children Deborah (James) Collins of Madison, AL, Anita (Loyd) Wood of Rock Island, TN, and David (Bridgett) Jones of McMinnville, TN. Aunts and Uncles Gene and Mava Russell, Anna Ruth Barnes, Tom Russell all of McMinnville, TN. Helen Rose Keith age 76 of Smithville, passed away Monday morning, July 27, 2015 at her residence. She was born May 4, 1939 to her parents, the late Edwin and Evelyn Lattimore Wheeler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Keith; daughter, Sherry Gail Keith; grandson, Jeremy Freeman; 2 sisters, Hazel Marie Wheeler and Bobbie Woods and 1 brother, Jackie Wayne Wheeler. Ms. Helen was a member of the Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church and attended the Pomeroy Chapel Brethren In Christ Church and was a retired factory worker. She is survived by 2 daughters, Jo Ann (Larry) Hale of Dowelltown and Sandra Kay (Ricky) Freeman of Smithville; 5 grandchildren, Jared Hale and Derrick (Kristan) Hale both of Dowelltown, Leann Freeman of McMinnville, Joshua Freeman and Jacob Freeman both of Smithville; 3 great-grandchildren, Bonnie Hale, Jeremy Lamb and Bo Hale; 5 sisters, Robbie (Jerry) Callis of Lebanon, Christine Matthews of Smithville, Wanda Sue (Frank) Wilkerson of Lebanon, Judy Johnson of Brush Creek, Marlene Goodwin of Smithville; 1 brother, Eudean (Sue) Wheeler of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Carl Sisco

96 year old Carl Sisco of Smithville died Friday. He was a member of the American Legion for 70 years and the VFW. He was also a member of the Catholic Church and Administrator for Singer (Aerospace Division). The funeral will be Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Father David Cooney will officiate and burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Sisco was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sisco and Antoinette Morana Sisco; his wife, Nancy Perri Sisco; one daughter, Marie Thoma; two grandchildren; one step grandchild; and two sisters, Julia Roan and Angelina Romeo. Survivors include a step daughter, Mary Lynn and Barry Muller of Smithville. A step son, William A. Senk, III and wife Wen YI of New York. Three grandchildren, David Thoma and Michelle Bailey of Knoxville and Lisa Coraselli of Florida. Three step grandchildren, Jennifer Williams of Indiana, Nancy Senk and Maria Senk both of New York.
