31 year old Amy Miller of Smithville died Saturday at her residence. She was an accountant with Shiroki North America and a member of the Long Branch Community Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Mark Miller and Bill Robertson will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. She is survived by her husband, Josh Miller. Two daughters, Addison and Lilly Miller; parents, Renea and Jeff Cantrell; a brother, Tyler Cantrell and Caroline Carter; a sister, Taylor Cantrell and Dylan Freeny; and her father, Greg Napier all of Smithville. Her father and mother-in-law, Mark and Melinda Miller of Liberty. Grandparents, David and Ivadell Randolph, Don and Nelta Cantrell, and Donna Napier. Jeffrey Welch Miller

Jeffrey Welch Miller, 22, of Forest, Va., died of brain cancer on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Jeff was the son of Teresa and Tripp Wray of Forest, and the late Tom Miller of Smithville, Tenn. and Gail Miller of Dowelltown, Tenn.

A memorial celebration is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, at Salem Baptist Church in Liberty with a reception to follow.

58 year old Charles Earl West of Smithville died Tuesday at his residence. He served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne. West, a Baptist, was also disabled. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. James Owens and Jackie Pettrey will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. West was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Adell and Mattie Bell West; a brother, T.L. 24 year old Joshua Maston Owens of Alexandria died Friday in a Rutherford County auto accident. He was a Comcast Cable Tech employee and a member of the Fort Apache Riders Club/Twisted Grip. Born in Ocala, Florida, he was affiliated with the New Vision Baptist Church and the West Main Baptist Church in Alexandria. The funeral will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the West Main Baptist Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until 5:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. The body will then be taken to the West Main Baptist Church in Alexandria for the service at 6:00 p.m. Ben Simpson and Russell Vickers will officiate. Owens is survived by his wife, Kayla Owens. Kenny (Skinman) Stewart

McMinnville native and resident, 54 year old Kenny (Skinman) Stewart died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He attended The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Tennessee Tech University. He was past owner of Eastside Market and Tas-T-O Donuts, as well as a past driver with Averitt Express. He was a member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul Jennings Stewart, paternal grandparents Hobert and Pauline Stewart, and maternal grandparents Eston and Venie Cope.
Survivors include his beloved mother Inez Stewart, sisters Elaine (Bob) Alsup and Annette Stewart all of McMinnville, TN, brother Danny Paul (Lynette) Stewart of Chattanooga, TN, nieces Paula (Terry) Wanamaker, Alison Cummins, Jennifer (Justin) Boyd, Kirby (Wes) Williams, and Regan Stewart, a nephew Ramsey Stewart, great-nieces and nephews Salem & Carter J. Wanamaker, Arden & Channing Cummins, Mylie & Lilla Boyd, and Connor & Kate Williams, aunts and uncles Sid & Sophie Stewart and Mattie Sue Vaughn and many beloved cousins.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2013, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Nick Pelham and Elder Darrell Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County. The Stewart Family will receive friends Friday from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and again Saturday from 10 A.M. until 1 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
