77 year old Charles A. Lindburg Young of McMinnville died Wednesday at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was a former employee of the Warren County Highway Department and a nursery worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of High Funeral Home in McMinnville. Kenneth W. Kirby will officiate and burial will be in the Young Cemetery in DeKalb County. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Columbus and Cleo Luna Young; two grandchildren, Charity Stembridge and Nicki Young; and two brothers, Leonard and John D. Young. Survivors include his wife, Hester Myers Young of McMinnville. Seven children, Linda and husband Edward Richardson of Rock Island, Tommy and wife Melinda Adams of McMinnville, Jean Young of McMinnville, Melinda Stembridge of McMinnville, Sherry Wellman and Paul White of McMinnville, Gloria Skinner of McMinnville, and Jennifer Hayes of McMinnville. Two step-sons, Darrell Myers of Hillsboro and Bennie and wife Ella Adams of McMinnville. Twenty three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren survive along with a brother, Earl and wife Joann Young of McMinnville. Two sisters, Christine Clemons of McMinnville and Fay Cantrell of Smithville. Numerous nieces and nephews survive. High Funeral Home in McMinnville is in charge of the arrangements.
