71 year old Charles Delbert Johnson of Sparta died Wednesday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a retired barber. A memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Freddie Copeland will officiate and burial will be in the Johnson’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Roscoe and Linnie Frances LaFever Johnson; two sisters, Juanita and Donna Johnson; and two brothers, Jessie Paul and Johnny E. Johnson. Survivors include a son, Timothy Joseph Johnson of Murfreesboro. One daughter, Susan and husband Mark Wilson of Smithville. A granddaughter, Amanda Wilson of Murfreesboro. Two sisters, Rose and husband George Daniels of Sparta and Wanda and husband Ben Wright of Michigan. Three brothers, Houston and wife Jean Johnson of Sparta, Walter and wife Jo Johnson of Smithville, and Buel and wife Sarah Johnson of Spencer. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
