85 year old Christene M. Adamson of Liberty died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired U.S. Postmaster and a 50 year member of the O.E.S.#488. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Elders Charles Allen Gentry and Dewey Dyer will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. An Eastern Star Service will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, F.A. and Thelma Adamson Mathis and her husband of 59 years, Robert Adamson. Survivors include two sons, Don Adamson of Liberty and Danny Adamson of Murfreesboro. Two grandchildren, Derek Kevin and wife Amanda Adamson of Knoxville and Malea and husband Eric Thompson of Thompson Station. One brother, Medford and wife Elese Mathis of Watertown. Caregivers, Vickie Hobbs and Lacusta Bellamy. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
