Christy Lynn Herring

27 year old Christy Lynn Herring of Smithville died Wednesday at her residence. Herring was a salesperson and she attended the Mount Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. A memorial service will be Friday at 4:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bernard Houk will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Greg Mitchell Herring. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Lisa and Wayne Merritt of Smithville. A sister, Callie Howell of Smithville. One brother, Wyatt Alsdorf of Florida. Grandparents, Roger and Polly Curtis of Florida, Jenny and Pops Alsdorf of Florida, and Sue Merritt of McMinnville. The family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in lieu of flowers.
