85 year old Clara Nell Cantrell of Smithville died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. Cantrell was a member of the Keltonburg United Methodist Church and she worked at Wright’s Grocery and Fuston’s 5 &10. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale, Mike Neal, and Dick Scott-Welch will officiate and burial will be in the Keltonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Cantrell was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Della Miller Cantrell; brothers and sisters, James T. Cantrell, Fred Cantrell, Aubrey Cantrell, Frank “Chick” Cantrell, Cartie Patton, Mattie Lee Stoner, Lela Mae Rigsby, Shelby Cripps, and Helen Cantrell. Survivors include a sister, Jean Haley of Smithville. Nieces, Jane and husband J.E. Young of Smyrna, Billie and husband Billy Roy Judkins of Donelson, and Jean Patton of Smithville. Nephews, Phillip Stoner and Eugene and wife Diane Haley all of Smithville. Several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews also survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to the Keltonburg United Methodist Church, in lieu of flowers.
