Claude Jewell Anderson

82 year old Claude Jewell Anderson of Oak Grove Road, Sparta died Monday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a White County native and worked at General Motors in Michigan. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta. James McGill and Tommy Lee Davis will officiate and burial will be in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson and Dora Hudson Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Norene Anderson of Sparta. A daughter, Faye Taormins of Sparta. A step-son, Dennis Reeder of Smithville. Three sisters, Berta LaPointe of Michigan, Marie Panos of Sparta, and Billie Larsen of Sparta. Four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren survive. Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Cantrell Cemetery in care of DeKalb Community Bank.
