80 year old Clyde Austin LeFevre died Thursday morning at his residence in Smithville. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in McMinnville, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Savage Goodner Camp 1513, and he was a Department Manager for 36 years with the Department of Social Services for the State of Michigan. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Tom Fittis and Jim Tollison will officiate and burial will be in Mount Holly Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lee and Maureen Austin LeFevre. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carol Ann LeFevre of Smithville. Children, Craig and his wife Margaret LeFevre of Cookeville, Zachary and his wife Verity LaFevre of Novi Pazaar, Bulgaria, William and his wife Hannah LeFevre of Bristol, and Amanda and her husband Greg McFadden of Westland, Michigan. Seven grandchildren, Katherine Jane, Marcy Ann, Isaac Austin, Margaret Lee LeFevre, Eli Shuster, Molly Cate, and Eli Austin McFadden. The family requests that donations be made to the Charity Baptist Mission or to the Temple Baptist Church Building Fund in McMinnville, in lieu of flowers.
